Browser Software/Settings

We recommend you use Google Chrome,  Firefox 3x, Safari 3x or Internet Explorer 7. If you have a previous version of one of these browsers, you can download a free copy of the latest version from Google, Firefox, Apple or Microsoft.


Monitor Settings

If you have to scroll to get a full view of our pages, try setting your monitor to a resolution of 1024 x 768 or higher. To change monitor settings:

  • Windows users: Go to Start menu: Control Panel: Display: Settings or right click on your Desktop, select Properties: Settings.

  • Mac users: Go to Apple menu: System Preferences: Displays, select resolution.


Your browser has to be set to accept cookies before you can place an order at Most browsers accept cookies by default, but if you're having trouble ordering, you may need to change settings to enable cookies.

To enable cookies:

PC Users

  • Internet Explorer 5.5 and higher: Go to Tools: Internet Options: Security. Select Internet, then Custom Level. You may need to scroll to see the options for enabling cookies.

  • Firefox: Tools - Options - Privacy - expand Cookies - check Allow sites to set cookies - select "Until they expire" from dropdown.

Mac Users

  • OSX, Safari: On the top toolbar, select Preferences: Security.

  • Firefox: Go to Firefox Menu: Preferences: Select Privacy Tab: Expand Cookies: Click "Allow sites to set cookies", "Keep cookies until they expire".

How to Place an Order at

Creating a New Account

Before placing an order from the catalog, it will be necessary to create a user account. To do this, click on the <Register> tab at the bottom of the Home page, or click <Login> and then <Create new account>. Choose a User Name and enter a valid e-mail address. After filling in the required information, click the <Create new account> button at the bottom of the page.

Logging In the First Time

Instructions on how to log in will be sent to the e-mail address you entered when creating your user account. You may log-in using these instructions one time only. After logging in, you should immediately change your password.  Note:  If you can't find the instructions in your INBOX, please check your spam folder.  If you experience this situation, please email

How to Change Your Password

Click on <My Account> at the bottom of any page, and then click the <Edit> tab. Enter a new password. The strength of your password will be displayed as you type it in. It should be at least 6 characters long and contain numbers, punctuation, and both upper and lower-case letters. Re-enter your password to confirm it. Be sure to click <Save> before proceeding.


How to Change Your Email Address

Click on <My Account> at the bottom of any page, and then click the <Edit> tab. Enter your new email address.  Click <Save>.


Adding Items to Your Shopping Cart

Click on an item to see a description and price for that item. Once you've found an item you'd like to order, click <Add to cart>. From the Shopping Cart, you may change quantities of an item, remove items from your Cart, or continue shopping to add different items to your Cart. You may view your Shopping Cart at any time by clicking on <Shopping cart> in the upper right hand corner of any page.


Checking Out and Completing Your Order

From your Shopping Cart, click the <Checkout> button.

Proceed through the checkout sections by clicking <Next> or toggling the Section Heading. Fill out the required information under each Section Heading.

** Cart Contents – Review the contents of your cart.

** Customer Information – Verify that your e-mail address is correct.

** Gift Order – If your order is to be a gift, you may include a message to be sent with the order.

** Delivery Information – Enter all required fields for the address to which your order is to be mailed.

** Billing Information – Enter all required fields for the person responsible for payment.

** Calculate Shipping Costs – Click the button to automatically calculate your shipping costs. For calendars, the flat-rate shipping costs are:
$5 for orders < $61
$8 for orders of $61-140
$12 for orders > $140

** Enter Discount Codes – An automatic discount of $12 will be applied to any order of 15 or more calendars.

** Order Comments – Use the space provided for special instructions or questions regarding your order.

** Payment Method – You may pay via PayPal or by mailing a check or money order.

How to Make a Payment

Paying with PayPal – If you selected PayPal as your method of payment, you will be directed to the PayPal log-in page after submitting your order. If you already have a PayPal account, you may log in and proceed through the payment instructions. If you do not have a PayPal account, you will be guided through the process of creating one, which you may then use to purchase your items from the WV Sierra Club Store.

Paying with a Check or Money Order – Make your check or M.O. out to: West Virginia Sierra Club Store. Put your Order Number on the Memo line and mail to:

Allow up to 10 days for your check to clear before your order is shipped.


Completing Your Order

When you have entered all the required information, click on <Review Order> and if everything is correct, click on <Submit Order> to place the order. You will receive an order confirmation via e-mail. You may also print out an invoice for your records by clicking on <My Account>, then going to <Order History> and clicking on the relevant order number.


Tracking Your Order

To see the status of your order at any time, log in to with your User Name and Password. Go to <My Account>, then <Orders> or <Order History>, and check the status of the relevant order. For details on a particular order, click that order number.
